In January/February 2026, DFW Gen Green & Marcus Minions Robotics will be hosting STEAM workshops for elementary school students, grades 3-6. Students will learn the importance of upcycling, sustainability, and technology in creating a greener future by building their own mechanical art out of upcycled e-waste collected in our September Donation Drive. All students will have the opportunity to present and discuss their builds during the concluding gallery walk. Volunteers and prospective workshop students, be on the lookout for signups soon!
On September 20, 2025, in collaboration with Marcus Minions Robotics & Marcus PTSA, DFW Gen Green hosted an e-waste donation drive. With nearly 20 volunteers, items such as TVs, keyboards, monitors, CD players, motherboards, and scrap electronics were collected in the drive-through donation drop-off. We collected an entire 16 ft. truck worth of donations! All electronics will be used in our Elementary STEAM workshops, teaching students the importance of upcycling, sustainability, and technology. Students will have the chance to create mechanical art and further their knowledge in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Be on the lookout for signups!
